A Vision for CBE: Fall 2025

When I first arrived on campus, I had never heard of the term “consulting.” I entered college as a pre-med student, excited to tackle the core freshman courses of LS1A and LS1B as I dreamt of becoming a pediatrician. My first exposure to consulting came from one of my friends who was interested in joining the organization. Although I was unsure at first, the application process started with a simple resume drop, so I applied. And the rest — some might say — is history.
Flash forward to now, I’m entering my senior year as the President of CBE in what will be my sixth semester in the organization. It’s inspiring to see how much the organization has grown since I first joined, and it excites me to know that there is still endless room to grow. Similar to my love for the organization, it just continues to get bigger and better. With that, I want to take this time to share about my joys of CBE and why joining the organization has been the best decision I have ever made during my time in college so far — and why you should also consider joining.

CBE’s Presidents from Fall 2023 to Now!
The Community
I remember sitting in the front row for a CBE info session in Spring of 2023, hoping to learn more about the organization, but also wondering why people raved about it. Board members came up one-by-one to share the organization’s expertise and commitment to growth (both for you and the organization), which is what made me inclined to apply. Although my very first introduction to CBE was just a mere three days before this event, I still found myself eager to join what many called “one of the best communities at Harvard."
I then asked current CBE members present at the info session on why they decided to stay in the organization, with many pursuing leadership roles in later semesters. Everyone, without hesitation, answered, “the people and the community.” Although I was skeptical at first, I can now proudly agree with that statement! There are various opportunities to meet others in CBE, whether that’s through your case team meetings, study breaks, engagement events, sibfams, or affinity groups. We also have coffee chats readily available for you to have with Board members (including myself!) during the semester, allowing you to gain different perspectives on anything academic, career-related, CBE, or just life. CBE allows everyone to surround themselves with driven and inspiring individuals, from Analysts all the way up to Board. Coming from someone who willingly decided to stay in the organization for six semesters, I can wholeheartedly assure that you, too, will find your community in CBE.

Forward Growth
I have the privilege of serving as CBE’s President for Fall 2025, and it’s truly an honor that I’ll cherish forever. The opportunity to lead the nation’s largest student-run non-profit that doubles as both a strategy consulting organization and a college club allows for the organization's forever growth. One of my missions for this semester is to continue highlighting CBE’s expertise, while also lining up the organization for added success in future years. Joining CBE has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in college – I’ve learned so much from the organization and its members, and our community is one I’ll continue to cherish even after graduation.
CBE opened so many doors for me that I cannot appreciate enough: long-lasting friendships, opportunities to mentor others, and a career path I finally felt passionate about — just to name a few. As past Presidents have shared through their previous blog posts, CBE has grown so much within the past two years I’ve been in the organization, and it continues to do so every semester. In just a few semesters, we’ve added new initiatives and improved our existing ones to cater to our love for our members and the forward growth of our organization.
Therefore, to those who are even merely interested in what CBE does and how it may impact you: I’m confident that you will learn so much more than you think will during your time here in CBE. It has positively shaped my experience at Harvard, and I’m sure it will for you, too.
